Happy Halloween!
Happy . . .
Well, it's a good day for me (otherwise known as "She") for a variety of reasons.
- It's a balmy 65-degree autumn day, the sun is blazing, and the wind is playful. I left the house comfortably dressed in jeans, suede moccasins, a layered tank top & tshirt, my favorite white hoodie, and a long, skinny wool scarf with every gorgeous autumn shade you could think of: burnt orange, chocolate brown, rose pink, mulberry, crimson, pumpkin orange, magenta, violet, and hazelnut. Indeed, this scarf is one of my favorites and a feast for the eyes as well as my autumn heart.
- It's Halloween, which means I have license to eat all the candy I want. My adorable mom gave my boyfriend and I matching jack-o-lantern Halloween buckets filled with chocolate and Caramel Apple pops (YUM). What's more, the interwebular design world is filled with pretty pumpkins like these by Martha Stewart:

- It's ALSO a 2-year anniversary for me and my favorite guy. Yes, our first "official" date was on Halloween. I had a sore throat, so we had baked potato soup at a local eatery and watched The Corpse Bride. It was a perfect Halloween / first date.

- To celebrate, we're going to see Blue Man Group tomorrow! I couldn't be more excited - my mom gave us tickets for my birthday in February, and we haven't been able to find a day that works until now. Ironically enough, I thought we'd have to plan it months in advance, but we just decided Wednesday upon the cancellation of another social outing we had scheduled for tomorrow to buy tickets! This show is phenomenal and we have 6th row seats, front and center. I can't wait!

- I'm alone in the office. The "Top Hits" radio station I have the cable set to in my waiting room today is playing "Ghetto Superstar." This is truly the best day I've had in weeks.
Why is today a happy day for you? Do share!
---Happy She.
P.S. It's SUCH good day in my world that I've properly capitalized this ENTIRE entry. I don't think I've EVER done that in the history of this blog. Seriously, happy day for me!

when good days get preceded by a capitalized SUCH...i rejoice for the receiver of the day.
delights!
thank you darling bookling for your rejoicing. i hope your friday-which-is-friday is going splendidly.
wait, if thursday = friday for you, what does friday actually equal? options:
friday' = friday prime (for mathematicians)
friday+ = friday augmented (for musicians)
tee hee.
The Blue Man Group sounds delightful! Funny, Wes and Mel met on Halloween (though it's not a first date, they're going to Wicked in celebration).
Why my day is happy?
1. M found (through his amazing googling abilities) the password for presale tickets, so we were able to snag two seats for Harry Connick Jr on Dec 11 at Chicago Theatre!! SOOO EXCITED THAT I'M OVERUSING PUNCTUATION!!!!!!!
2. My little "plug" in my tea kettle broke in two today, but when I called the customer service number of the company that made it they offered to send me a replacement part for free! Yipee for free things!
3. ex er. and that's all i'm going to say about that b/c you know what i mean.
lindsay,
ex.er. congratulations! one day i may have juicy stories for you, but for now i remain innocent and naive...right...
the cosmos must know that in order for you two to keep living the pottery barn life (i'm jealous, as you know), discounted Harry tickets and free tea kettle parts are a must!
sincerely,
moi.
Oh the Blue Man Group - I hope you had a smashing (hehe, that's punny now that you've seen the show)good time (BC and I saw them a couple months ago and it was fabulous).
Hooray my little raven, I am rejoicing for you - we all know well enough that when the truly happy days come you have to love them to the fullest.
Happy (slappy) anniversary!
