pet peeve: people changing plans at the last minute*
antidote: make last-minute plans of my own**
* i say this knowing i have changed
plans last-minute before...forgive me.
** thank God for friends who are available,
and who above all, love me.

there are sins of omission, she said. and while those may not be tangible actions taken against someone, they are hurtful nonetheless. (which is worse, a harsh word or a cold silence?) thank you for being the heart of God in my life, i said. i have needed it.
i pull the ghostly arrows of silence from my chest, i pour music in the wound, the gaping hole is sealed. i am becoming real again. can you see me yet? maybe just an outline shimmering against the wall . . .

thinking of you my lovely raven...
...i see you...floating in my cup...freshly brewed...one solitary leaf...as sweet as jasmine...as pretty as pink...you quench my thirst...
(**yes we do!)
