this is a glimpse of Kelly Rae's Seattle house tour, found on Apartment Therapy San Francisco recently. the duvet and shams remind me of my own new bedding, just a different color scheme. another similiarity lies in the fact that her wall color isn't included in her duvet palette, but it works nonetheless (in my opinion)!
i've decided to forbid myself to hang anything on the walls of my bedroom until i'm more completely unpacked --- otherwise i'll just focus all my energy on decorating and neglect the important task of finding a good home for my things. i think this intended self-motivator would bother me more if the walls weren't already painted such a lovely color. also, i have to admit i've cheated just slightly because there was 1 lone nail left by the girl who was in the room before me; i've allowed myself to rotate various pieces of art on it throughout the week :)okay, well my freshly painted fingernails (whose color is the "bitten plum" part of this post's title --- a luxuriously dark red-purple) are dry, so it's time to fold my laundry and get to bed at a reasonable time for once!

The internet is notorious for calling me over to it's ice cream van, resplendent with shiny happy pictures, coaxing me to take a look at the "even better" treats inside, then kidnapping me for hours while I gorge on rocket pops and drumsticks.
HAHA dovely! today YOU are the queen of metaphors. we can just collapse on the sidewalk together, sugar crystallizing at the corners of our mouths (and between the buttons of our keyboards).
