i want to be sipping a gin & tonic at this bar. i'll meet you there --- i'll be the one with unbelievable tan lines against the turquoise wall, drinking and reading a book. don't be intimidated. come say hello.

you might also find me in that chair on the left, legs crossed, iPod in my lap, writing. when i lean my head back against the wall, take the opportunity to come sit across from me. i promise we'll talk for a few hours. then we'll go night swimming. after that . . . the possibilities are endless.

if your flight gets in during the early evening, come straight up to my room --- i'll have just come in from the beach, skin still warm from the sun. chances are i'll be too lazy to get in the shower right away; you'll find me dozing lightly on that white couch with turquoise piping. you won't know if i'm really sleeping or just trying to imprint the slanted light on my memory. it doesn't matter. i'd rather be looking at you.
