oui, mes amies.
it happened.
they are mine.
i frantically emailed a few of my girls to see if anyone would (try to) talk me out of it, and despite a very practical question from L. ("will you wear them in 5 years?")(to which my inner voice screamed, "yes! every day for the next 5 years, in fact!"), after holding the gorgeous things in the shopping cart for 4 hours, i flashed my plastic (that sounds dirty) and took the plunge (also sounds questionable, in the context of flashed plastic).
i've been under the ubiquitous Emerson Fry spell for years now (i mean, who hasn't?)(stop pursing your lips, all you ladies with more sophisticated style), and since i'll never fit into any of their tailored-for-tiny-people clothing, i am more than happy to "settle" for their more universally-fitted footwear.
and what a glorious consolation it is.
i'm growin' up, everyone. getting myself nice things.
some might say "a girl's gotta eat,"
but i say "a girl's gotta walk, and walk well."
until i find that sugar daddy, i'm paying for all my own food and shoes anyway,
so i might as well have a little fun while i'm at it.
any fun and somewhat fanciful purchases lately? do tell.
she
p.s. i feel slightly odd revealing the exact amount of money i just spent,
especially given my recent no-shopping-for-a-month epiphanies.
i have no intent of bragging or flaunting by sharing this with you...
it's just been one of those months (years? three years? lives?),
it's friday, and well, sometimes a splurge for something
that makes your heart flutter
is just what the doctor ordered.
thanks for getting it.
love you all.

um helllllo those shoes are amahzing. and i can definitely be guilty of dropping some serious dollar on shoes, no shame. i just bought a pair of new glasses for really no reason at all other than they were cute. i didn't need them. but i'm glad i have them!
also, emerson fry! good taste!
