{ sunday things: spring }
it's been another lovely sunday chez moi --- i made a red russet potato dish that turned out deliciously, which i followed with a few spoonfuls of peanut butter chocolate ice cream (häagen-dazs, my favorite). i put a second coat on my first purple manicure of the month (my first color choice is aptly named "amethyst") and i've just been browsing some of the refreshing palettes that have been appearing across the fashion world.
i'll admit that when everyone started debuting their spring lines earlier this month, it felt premature. but a few short weeks (and snowfall in the double digits) later, the subdued brights of spring are a welcome sight to my winter-weary eyes.
the above pieces can all be found at gap. in my opinion, the shirt is just the right shade of aquamarine with just the right easy fit, the ballet flats are kept from being too sweet by a snakeskin print, and who could say no to a sleek clutch in the color soothing sea?
as we look to warmer seasons,
may our seas be still
and our colors bright.

this is beautiful but I've fully accepted that winter is forever this season and long underwear and hats and mittens and crisp flakes riding sharp air is the norm from now on. I've abandoned all hope of warmer times! :)
