early evening

(a winter corner of my room, taken last year)

good noon, all. it's 12:09. i'm still feeling rather unmotivated, even after a supremely unmotivated (albeit very productive) monday. i was at work until 6 p.m., went home, went to the library, returned some clothes on the other side of town, picked up a Little Ceasars $5 hot-n-ready pizza, came home, watched an episode of Joan of Arcadia, made some raspberry applesauce jello (it's super easy and SUPER delicious) for our Boss's Day potluck today, talked to the boyfriend, listened to some Eric Whitacre, went to sleep.

Seven Up Salad (the official name for my jello):
1 small jar applesauce
1 large pkg jello (you can use any kind, i use raspberry)
1.5-2 cups Sprite or 7Up

heat the applesauce to boiling. dissolve the jello in the hot sauce. add Sprite (if i buy a small single serving bottle, i usually use around 2/3 of it) and cool.

seriously - that's it! even an amateur retardo cook like myself can do this, and the entire process takes about 10 minutes. technically this is a double batch of the original recipe; serves 6-8.

OH. i also listened to the marvelously brilliant Emiliana Torrini a little bit before sleeping, only to stop the disc partway through because i was too tired to take it in like i wanted to. jillian susan, you are a bright star in my universe.

you are the thief of my heart
i have found nothing but good in you
i know you'll never leave me alone
