turquoise snow
i found this photo on flickr just now and it seemed a bright take on the now-muddy, 7-inch snow-covered landscape that is my metropolis today. come to think of it, this photo doesn't even have snow (or mud) in it, it just feels wintry, vintage, a little chilly, and clean but not pristine.
last night the snow was powdery and dry. fun to play in.
this morning the snow was heavy and grainy. awful to shovel off a car.
it's the weekend for holiday parties - except i'm boy wonder-less. so i'll brave the cheer in a solitary fashion. it will be fun regardless, but in my opinion such events are always better with a buddy.
hope you (& i) find time this weekend to calm down,
look up,
love, and get lost in wonderment.

the photo in the picture was done by a photographer i've seen before and now i'm trying to find him and i can't. this is going to drive me nuts! i'll let you know when i find his name.
oh, you know perfectbound? they're a female design duo who met in art school and have been friends who make things together ever since. i believe Julie took this particular photo. the print is called "fake new york" by a gal named natalie who sells her prints on etsy under the seller name bubbo.
however, i'm curious to know who the "he" is that you're thinking of!
well huh! i swear i saw some one taking photographs like that (where everything looks like a model and not really real) SOMEWHERE on the vast internet! i'll let you know if i ever come across it again.
speaking of winter, i'm up here in cold MN missing you!
