allow me to take this opportunity to make a confession: countdowns make me nervous.
wait, scratch that.
i LOVE countdowns.
but they also make me nervous.
how can this be, you ask?
d'accord. j'explique a vous.

countdowns make me nervous because i'm never sure from whence / to whence i'm counting down. when does the countdown start? when does it technically end? for instance: say i'm leaving for Maui on Saturday. it's 11:00 a.m. Thursday. if i count only the full days between the current day / time and the day that i leave, technically the countdown would stand at 1 day. but if i count today (because it's before noon and rounding takes place at 0.5 or higher), that's 2 days. but technically i don't actually leave until Saturday - so do i count Saturday, too? in THAT case the countdown is 3 days. do you see my predicament?
i have a question: what are your least-favorite words or phrases?
my answer(s) today: funky monkey, even steven, hoity toity and all variations of the 2-word rhyming phrase; "conscientious," because of its unlikely spelling (strangely this also makes it one of my favorite words - crap); "definitely," because it is so frequently misspelled (but i like it as a word that expresses certainty).
i have another question: what spurs your creativity? your best introspection?
my answers: photos like the one above, Anthropologie, visual collage; old journals, Bjork, Joni Mitchell, minor keys, wind at night, the sound of the tide.
my headphones
they saved my life
{ bjork }
i remember hearing these lyrics
for the first time. and it was true.

one more: where do you feel safe?
my answer: in bed, right before falling asleep; riding in the backseat of my parents' car; alone & awake, very late at night; in his arms.

1. the word "preggers" can't handle it. don't know why. but I refuse to say it, type it or even think it. shoot... i just thought of it AND typed it.
2. alone time.
3. when my head is on his chest and i can feel him breathing.
PS: my word verification is: cling
huh. interesting.
preggers! yes! you know, the shame is that i found myself at a loss when trying to give my own answers, which you know is out of character b/c there are PLENTY of words/phrases that horrify me. but this is a great example. thanks for your other answers too...i was feeling curious today :)
I believe "moist" would be another one you shy away from, if I remember correctly :)
Kristen you forgot man thighs.
1. can't think of any word other then preggers i hate.
2. being outside
3. in bed under a million covers with my feet on my dog and my head on billy's shoulder.
actually moist isn't so bad for me - but i know it's bad for most people. sorry, can't pin that one on me, but i'm sure others will relate!
Have you seen Ickeyschoomona's (sp?) Halloween picture on FB? That's a good example of man thighs. I'm just saying, it's a sight to behold.
Also, can you tell I'm procrastinating work?
haven't seen ikey shamona's white man-thighs, no. i'm afraid.
procrastination is always welcome here.
