breathe in : : breathe out

are you here because you've been misbehaving?
well, yes.
so you have to stay a little longer?
yes, but . . . misbehaving? it's fun.

{ conversation with one of my 65 year old lady patients }

i'm determined to remain afloat today.
working with cancer patients every day
actually provides a huge amount of
strength and inspiration to this end.
it is their gift to me.

upon diving headfirst into the vast world of inspiration that is my lovingly curated Google Reader, i've surfaced with a few things that are making me want to keep my eyes open and hope for more beautiful visions around the next bend.

mini notebooks at smbriones
i LOVE the functional adorability of this shop.

bedside portraits from the covent garden hotel
via this apartment therapy post

quillianna on the open road
with her tiny penelope
(from her post here)

today is:
seen and unseen
tempering the e. beast
10 patients in 3 hours
thinking in french
talking to myself in the car (out loud)
no overdue library books
friend in town
24 emails
turkey sandwich
so much love.

what is your today
made of?
i'd love to know.

hello she- found you via the lovely Ms. Plume and so do enjoy your posts. the day has included many treats-- meeting new babies with thumbelina feet, a mind-clearing swim, and sushi and raspberries. i couldn't ask for more :)

Thursday: positive, Productive time in the studio, farmer's market tomatoes and hard boiled eggs, revelations about the positivity that comes out of near bi-polar days (I use the term loosely), two gin and tonics (splurge night), online shopping for new flats, phone call from a truly beautiful woman.

Here's to making Friday. Because that's exactly what we're doing every day, making each one, searching out goodness and praying for joy.

Today in the case of moi is sunshine, though we are nearing the middle of Winter... It is having a l-o-n-g pot of tea, and reading blogs though it seems work is piling up around me... All the better we are to stop by here and remember to get inspired...
