i'm not usually a particular fan of neutrals or pastels, but today this room appeals to me. it looks calm . . . serene . . . quiet. and that wonderful curvy couch might follow my favorite sleeping position (on my right side) perfectly. i also love the subtle circle pattern on the chair.how is everyone else? i hope your weekend was relaxing. and if it wasn't, here are some things i'd like to do to catch up on rest and fill my soul again:
- buy a new wool coat for winter
- fold laundry
- drink a lot of peppermint hot chocolate
- eat cream of potato soup with melted cheese, bacon, and chives on top
- take naps
- knit
- daydream endlessly
spoons ahoy,
she.

OOOhhhh! Look at that coffee table!
next time you come over, i'll make potato soup.
spoons ahoy? hahah!
right now, it's Yo-Yo Ma playing Cello Suite No. 5, 2.
and yogi "throat comfort" tea
and cider cooking on the stove for no other reason than the scent.
come over.
mmmmm. you're lighthearted. you made it through the morning without blowing a gasket. i was a bit worried.
love you on that couch lazing on your side like a siamese cat.
i just carved a pumpkin.
dimestore: i know. great room, isn't it?
lindsay: YES, please.
mme: i know, i'm a total dork. and your soul-soup sounds amazing. you always have the recipe for a good soul day. i'm coming, girl. in my heart i'm coming...
pocketplume: HA gasket was almost blown. thanks for your messages. did you eat some baked pumpkin seeds? please say yes.
Yes! Of course! Too many, in fact. I felt a bit ill whilst trotting home with my moustachioed jack-o-lantern!
I've been reading your blog today and I've noticed something.
You often say that you're not usually a big fan of neutrals but ...
Maybe you really do like neutrals with bursts of bright colors thrown in like that gorgeous hot pink coat.
Thanks for sharing lovely things with us ... it cheers up my dreary day.
