well-known fact: because i have the biggest face in the world, i have to buy the largest sunglasses i can find. otherwise, the stupid frames look minuscule on my vast moonface...or they squeeze the sides of my head. the ironic thing about this is that i have the smallest eyes in the world. i don't need all that UV-protected real estate for my actual eyes. i just need molded plastic that's capable of making way for my enormous head. great.
things have been heavy around here, and that's because life is heavy. but life is also light in its own merciful ways. on the inside i'm dealing with questions of purpose, destiny, and fulfillment. but here are some lighter things i've been thankful for lately:
- staying up past midnight cutting 400 multi-colored ribbons for a service project (and repurposing the leftovers)
- a late-night, long-overdue conversation in a hotel parking lot
- blackberry tea
- pizza with my favorite people
- my hot strawberry pink puffy vest
- sleeping late and then being late to work...on purpose

*in case you were wondering, this is a self-portrait taken out the window of the big silver truck in idaho, back in september when i met the 3 brightest stars and we had a time together that i'll never forget. we were cruising up a mountain to catch the valley sunset on our very last night together...

Love this self portrait. You should post more of yourself!
I knew what this picture was from at the moment I saw it. I remember when you took it, in fact.
Shit's heavy here too, not surprising our lives would be yet again parallel.
In the name of true lifelong friendship and solidarity,

Truth: I am trying, really really hard, to not buy a pair of the massive-80-year-old-just-had-eyeball-surgery-wrap-around-goggle-glasses. I've been trying for a long time. Because I too have a larger than life face.
whoot.
I've heard your rebel yell.
It sounds like a she-orc.
