{ days go by }

1. { day twenty-five || joy }, 2. { day twenty-six || dogwood days }, 3. { day twenty-seven || car flats }

i can hardly believe i'm almost at the end of these thirty thankful days. i think i'll be processing the things i've realized / learned / felt for days to come (and i think being intentional about cataloging them is an important part of the project), but what still strikes me most is how easy it is not to mindlessly spend money once the pattern of behavior has been redirected.

i'm going to to a recap post next week, so i'll keep my words to a minimum now even though i definitely have more to say. it's been a busy week and i'm working on replacing other perhaps-not-constructive habits with more life-giving activities. it's slow going. i am a creature of familiarity, even if that means i sometimes linger in situations that have long worn through.

on the way up this mountain though, this week i have:
1. held a 20-hour old baby boy...miraculous!
2. worn way too much of my favorite color and felt marvelous all the while.
3. seen avengers for the second time while sipping a margarita...yes, in the theater!
