{ des chaussures et le ciel }

i'll follow you into
the light

i don't know what this time means, it's lasting for a longer and shorter than i thought it would. i never seem to estimate these things very well. the farewell hour stretches on into morning as my room darkens and then lightens again. my dreams are filled with letters, tight embraces with people i think i might remember, and running.

all i need
is right here beside me

sometimes i drive for minutes, hours, and after awhile i seem to wake up and wonder where i'm going. it always comes to me eventually. one of these days, i might forget and just keep on driving. to where, well, that has yet to be seen.

take my love and wear it
over your shoulders

all i've done this week is look down (see shoe pictures) and look up (see sky pictures). there's not much in between that i can bear to accept right now. so i put on my sunglasses and stalk the streets of this town --- people are afraid to look at me but they can't not look at me. poor suburbanites. they never really had a chance.

In the leopard print shoe photo, it looks like I could snap your ankles in two, with a simple glance, nose wiggle and wink. These are delicate days, aren't they.
