i've updated my browsers, both at work and home. i don't notice much difference (besides the convenience of tabbed browsing), but i DO notice how both Arial and Georgia look just a little prettier. Georgia is just Georgia enough not to be Times New Roman (thank goodness). not that there's anything wrong with Times. Times is a constant. Times is dependable. Times is college papers and required readings and normal. normal is good.
the older i get, the more i appreciate normal. i can worry about whether or not i'm going to turn into a status-quo minivan-driving soccer mom some other day. for now, i'm just grateful to be healthy, safe, and. . .normal. God can work with normal. God can work with abnormal. i'm rambling.
my apartment is a MESS. i was at my parents' house for Christmas. i brought a truckload of clothes and shoes so i'd have options. options is my thing. it never seems like a lot when you take it, but when you have to bring it home . . . another story. damnit. options is no longer my thing. well, it is, but i'm annoyed at myself. why does options have to be my thing? why couldn't my thing be "sparse, only what's necessary"? and then i think, hey. God can work with options. God can work with sparse. i'm rambling again.
currently listening: the TV in the treatment room & a nurse asking, "any vomiting, nausea, or diarrhea?"
currently drinking: Nestle Pure Life water. does it taste better because it's actually purified, or because it's in a bottle? i am very sensitive to how water tastes. i finally grew into ordering a water with lemon, all the time, in case the restaurant has "toilet water"
currently hating: fluorescent overhead lighting
currently loving: my boyfriend's doggie arms (don't ask)
currently on my living room floor: Victoria's Secret bag with CDs, papers, and probably some candy; big green paper bag with glass serving tray, tax forms, impressionistic scarf from coworker; power strip; tupperware container with 4 cookies; new 360 degree surround heater i tried to use last night but it started smoking and i freaked out; grocery bag with Oil of Olay moisturizer, rubber cement, and something else
what???
