ah! regardez les enfants!now that is just CUTE.
so yeah, i was on the Gap website.
i'm a silver cardmember now. the addiction has peaked,
and it's actually been rewarded.
(that's more like it.)
three things, today:
- there's something epic about running errands at night in the rain.
- Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies are positively amazing.
- i found a free burrito coupon for Chipotle in my purse yesterday.
and i'm more than kinda okay with that. the problem is,
i'm sitting in a fluorescent cube of death.
the closer i come to the end of this job, the more i want it to just be over. there are definite advantages to knowing your job is coming to an end in the form of preparations and cautions you can take, but the down side is this: knowing 3 months in advance means you come to work every single day with the knowledge that it's going to end, and just about every task you do for those 3 months is geared toward that end. it's really been like dying a slow death, and i can barely handle the heaviness anymore.
new music, lately:
- kaleidoscope heart, sara bareilles
- sigh no more, mumford & sons
- tiger suit, kt tunstall
music helps to bear the burden.
and today i can't help thinking
it would be nice to have someone i could call my own
who could do that too. today i even think i wouldn't mind
being called someone else's own either.
oh, bollocks. damn these grey wintery days.
they add that secret final ingredient to my thoughts
that yields this taste of bittersweet loneliness.
